Forum Guidelines.
Listed below our the forum rules for members. In effect, May 21th, 2005.
1. Respect others.
-Flaming is not tolerated on this board. If you want to vent, please do so discreetly in the Venting Booth where your actions can be watched carefully. (This includes the insulting of Roleplay as well.)
2. Respect Staff.
- They helped develop and create this forum. Insulting and/or slandering of a staff member is not tolerated. If done so, proper punishment is to be done. If you do not like a certain staff member, address another. Members have the freedom to choose which moderator is allowed to 'punish' them - as long as the staff member is not biased. Inform the current moderator you do not like that you wish to have another moderator punish you from now on, and that moderator is to allow it.
3. Follow the Ranks of Authority.
- If a problem arises, you are to address that problem to MODERATORS. The administration is more so focused on current roleplay and forum upgrades than punishment. That is why staff was elected in the first place. Only come to administration when there is an emergency, or when a problem has risen to the point where Moderators cannot handle the issue. If so, DO NOT post it publically upon the forum. Contact them via Pm. Posting in public will result in a warning.
4. Slandering of other forums is forbidden.
- We are not trying to rival other forums, thus any insults indirectly or directly bashing TiC, Ayenee.com or any other forum adjacent to us will result in a warning. We pride ourselves to respect our fellow competition, so be respectful. They have been here far longer than we have.
5. No speaking of Hacks/Codes/ Pirating of software.
- Doing so is a risk to us as a community. Speaking of such will result in a warning, and if severe enough, an instant ban for two weeks. No exceptions. Such discussions can be made via Pm or Yim.
6. No back seat moderating.
- We have elected staff to handle such situations. Speaking rationally is permited, but the constant 'pushing' of punishment by a member will result in a warning.
7. Cursing, Sexual and lustful Roleplay is permited.
- This is to clarify questions that have been arising upon this forum about roleplay ratings. A member is free to roleplay how they like, where they like, and when they like. A member that tries to restrain that freedom will result in a warning. We are all adults here, and know what are limitations are. Cursing is allowed is not excessive. If you do not like the cursing, than ignore that roleplayer. If you do not like the genre or rating of the roleplay, than just don't read it.
- Pornography, however, is forbidden. Distasteful images and/or vulgar comments made/put in posts will be moved immediately, and possibly deleted. No exceptions.
8. Excessive spamming will not be tolerated. While OOC posting is allowed, excessive postings of one or two words will not be tolerated. No exceptions. Spamming can result in the locking of a thread, but absolutely NO warnings will be given for it. Spamming is a harmless thing, but the continuous actions of such will not be tolerated.
9. There are no Dm's.
- No one member can tell another how to roleplay. If a member has started a roleplay thread, than the thread is theirs to set rules in stone upon. If another member conflicts against those rules, than the creator of the thread is to contact a MODERATOR immediately. However, there are no DM's upon this forum. Meaning, there are no roleplayers that will try and 'push' plot, or restrict characters. Roleplay is to flow freely, and interference with doing so will result in a warning.
10. Enjoy yourself.
- The main reason this forum came into creation is the love the Administration has for roleplay. Enjoy yourselves, relax and have fun. If you have any suggestions or changes you'd possibly like to see, than feel free to tell staff. We are here for you.
